Alan Ackerman - CEO / Founding Partner
Alan Ackerman is a highly experienced real estate professional, co-founder, and CEO of Equity Land Group (ELG). With over 20 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, Alan is responsible for leading the strategic expansion of ELG's objectives. As the leader of the company, he is responsible for overseeing all of the firm's activities, from deal sourcing and deal structure to contract execution. Alan's expertise in real estate is unparalleled, as he has successfully built several high-volume real estate businesses/teams throughout his career. He possesses a comprehensive understanding of land rezoning & development, builder lot takedown, complex term negotiations, and marketing efforts. Alan has worked with a diverse range of clients, including national and regional home builders, developers, and investors. Alan has closed 75 land transactions of various sizes throughout the Texas market within a 5-year time period and closed over $635 million in land sales in his career. His ability to negotiate complex terms and his keen eye for identifying profitable opportunities has earned him a reputation as one of the most successful real estate professionals within his industry. Aside from his work at Equity Land Group, Alan enjoys spending time with his family. He currently resides in Rockwall, TX, with his wife, son, and daughter.
Daniel Martinez - COO / Founding partner
Daniel Martinez is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Equity Land Group (ELG), where he oversees the firm's business operations and consults on land acquisition transactions for clients. With over a decade of experience in business operations, Daniel's primary focus at ELG is to oversee the firm's operations, implement systems that enhance productivity and grow the business. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management with an International Business Certificate from Arizona State University. He is a high achiever with numerous accomplishments across various industries. Daniel's entrepreneurial spirit comes from multiple endeavors to include having founded a wholesale distribution center that spanned two states. He has also received prestigious awards such as the Chairman's Club and Presidents Club for his contributions to companies' Finance and Accounting needs. As a Loan Officer, Daniel closed over $130M in loans for his clients, gaining valuable experience in the real estate industry. He is known for cultivating strong relationships with clients through his customer-centered approach, creating long-lasting business partnerships. Currently residing in Rockwall, TX, with his wife and two daughters, Daniel is a family-oriented individual who values the importance of work-life balance.
Rick Johnson - Sr. Land Advisor
Rick Johnson is a successful real estate professional who has been in the business for 20 years. He is known for his outstanding work ethic, as well as his positivity, warmth, and down-to-earth qualities. He is a trusted consultant for many clients in the Rockwall/Dallas area, and his passion for helping other agents succeed has made him an asset to his peers. Rick's career background in the medical field, including his service in the U.S Army, has given him a unique understanding of people, which he believes is the most important element of the real estate business.
